Appoint Director

Companies are required by law to file new director’s particulars to Companies House when new appointment takes place.

Public companies must have a minimum of two directors and one of them must be a human director whereas for small private companies only one person director is required.

Companies can also appoint a nominee person director or corporate director. The nominees’ services are available for a fee. Please contact our accountants for assistance.

Who Can Be A Director?

The person is going to hold office as company director must be 16 years old of age and must not already been disqualified to take on the responsibility as company director under the Company Director Disqualification Act 1986.

Change of Director’s Particulars

Company directors have the obligation to inform Companies House of any change of personal particulars. For person director, a change in home address, service address or surname is required to be filed with the Registrar of Companies.

Similarly if there is a change in corporate director’s registered office this information must be communicated with the Registrar of Companies.
