Business Plan For Bankers

If you want to raise money for your business you will need to have a well-presented and carefully researched business plan to show how your business is going to make a success and to ultimately obtain necessary funding to start the business. Good business plan should cover your business's vision, its competition and associated risks and exit plan.

The advantage of preparing a business plan is that it helps you to clarify your thoughts about the success or failure of your business venture. It can also help to think of the important steps that need to be taken.

Producing a business plan also helps you to keep control of your business operations by allowing you to look at your actual trading result compared to your forecast business performance and look for reasons for the variances and possible streamline and troubleshoot options.

Your plan must provide the bankers with what is interesting about your business. Highlight your management skills and ability and show how your products or services will appeal to your customers.

The ideal format of your business plan should have between four to ten pages of words that point out the important points, plus a series of financial analysis. Extras detail should be confined to appendices.

Your plan should include cash flow forecasts, profit forecasts, and possibly a balance sheet forecast. The more money you wish to raise the more detail you need to provide with greater forecast period cover.

Finally your business plan should be typed out in a well structured layout and presented in a booklet format or folder.

Testimonials

I recently discovered that I have been recording my accounts the wrong way. I would suggest anyone starting new business to get accountant advice on doing your books as early as possible to avoid having to spend hours re-do the accounts and books.

A big thank you to Michelle, the accountant at Concise Accountancy, she helped to create a bookkeeping system using excel spreadsheet and also sorted out my records.
