Before sending your UK company’s annual return to Companies House, ensure all the information entered in your form AR01 is correct.
Companies House will return your annual return form if they find the information provided is incorrect or imcomplete.
Below are some tips or checklist to help you with:
Company name and number
Make sure your company name and incorporation number match the information on Companies House website.
Business activity
You have provided the description of your company’s principal business activity and specify the correct trade classification code, Companies House refers this code as SIC code. full list of trade classification codes are available at www.companieshouse.gov.uk.
Registered office
The registered office address entered in your annual return form must match with the registered office address held by Companies House. If you are changing your company’s registered office address, additional form called AD01 with your company’s new registered office address must be completed and send together with your annual return form.
Statement of capital
Shareholders details, classes of shares together with the voting right attached to each share is provided.
Company directors and secretary
If there were changes in your company officers since the last annual return date and you have not yet informed Companies House, you must fill in the appropriate forms below.
- Use form AP01 if new director was appointed.
- Use form CH01if there was changes to director’s personal details.
- For corporate director’s appointment, please use form AP02 and changes in details please use the form CH02.
Use other companies house forms for other changes within your company.
Finally you must sign your annual return form and enclosed the correct filing fee.
